Today the Scotts celebrate the birthday of their famous and beloved poet Robert Burns. They are very proud of him. I think, Robert Burns for the Scotts is like A.S. Pushkin for us.
День рождения Роберта Бёрнса принято праздновать в форме ужина (так называемого Burns Supper), проводимого по определенному сценарию. Сначала — небольшое сценическое действо, со стихами, песнями и народными танцами. В Шотландии Бёрнс почитается как символ нации, и поэтому день рождения поэта — один из самых любимых праздников в стране холмов — отмечается широко и шумно.
When I was a student, I learned one of R. Burns`s poems. And I`ve remembered it since then. I like it very much. It`s about his beautiful Motherland.
