People in the USA and Canada celebrate Groundhog Day today.
They say that watching the behaviour of a groundhog climbing out of its den, one can understand when spring will come. If the day is cloudy, the groundhog won`t see its shadow - spring is soon to come. If vice versa the day is sunny, the groundhog will get frightened of its shadow - there will be six more weeks of winter.

In some towns and villages of the USA and Canada people organize festivals dedicated to groundhogs-meteorologists. Nowadays there are seven most famous groundhogs-meteorologists: Punxsutawney Phil, Wiarton Willie, Staten Island Chuck, Shubenacadie Sam, Balzac Billy, Jimmy the Groundhog and General Beauregard Lee.
